Yes I know, I'm a bum. I 've gotten so behind on my posts I hardly know where to start!
Our fall was amazing. Packed with birthdays and visits with family, we couldn't have ask for a better end to our year. Our hearts are packed full of memories and love and fun.
From October to November we celebrate our family Birthday-Palooza, a fantastically crazy 4.5 week birthday cake and present binge!
Bryson kicks off the fesivities with his birthday on October 8th. He is now 13, and celebrated this monumental first teenage birthday family style, with our traditional birthday dinner out and his most favorite birthday cake, Pumpkin Pie!
Zachary is next in line celebrating his 5th birthday on October 18th. He celebrated his special day with his Granny and Grandpa (visiting from their home in the Caribbean) and his most favorite friend and cousin, Little Joe, and his family. His only request for his birthday was an M&M cake, which was a big hit with brothers, cousins and dad!
Bill's birthday is on October 30th, and we are now officially the same age! He loves being married to an older woman, even if it is only by 3 months:) Bill loves cake and his most favorite (until recently...) has always been German Chocolate Cake, which I love to make from scratch for him each year. But this year he mixed things up a bit and announced a new favorite, Emily Merkley's Oatmeal Cake. Now if this recipe had been received from just about any one else I wouldn't have been worried, but it is awfully hard to compete with Emily's cooking! Fortunately it turned out beautifully and was very much enjoyed by all (thanks Emily!)!
Lindsey's birthday is November 10th and she is now 3! It has been so much fun having a little girl, and we all loved picking out dollies and necklaces, princess music players, baby strollers and cradles for her. Her dinner choice was McDonald's and a happy meal, and she was thrilled to have cousins Little Joe, Andrew, and Baby Ben (and Aunt Jess and Uncle Joe too!) come to celebrate with her.
Fun, fun, and more fun! Time to gear up for Palooza'09!!

Bryson, Scott, Alec, Zachary and Lindsey
Bryson
Bryson is 14 and in the 10th grade. He loves music and is an avid reader. He is one of the best read people we know! Bryson is a well of knowledge, and provides commentary for just about any topic, and is never sarcastic:) He plays the trumpet in the band and likes to tinker with piano. He is an aspiring cook and loves to keep our bellies full of tasty cookies and treats. Bryson is adored by his little sister and is a wonderful big brother to her.
Scott
Scott is 13 and in the 8th grade. He is an excellent student and plays the french horn in the band. He is always quick to smile and a great big brother. His love of music reaches far past band as his ipod is his constat companion. He keeps our home full of music of all varieties ranging from Wierd Al to U2 to Jimmy Eat World. Here are a few of his fav's:
Alec
Alec is 11 and in 6th grade. As our most "spirited" child he is always at the heart of all the goings on in our home. Alec is rarely found with out a smile on his face, usually from all his mischief making! Alec also has a very tender heart. He loves animals, especially our dog Roxy. Alec was excited to start orchestra this year, and of course had to pick the biggest instrument possible, the BASS! Way to go Aly-Cat!
Zachary
Zachary is 6 and in 1st grade. He is such a sweet, sweet boy. He is perpetually happy and finds great joy is lifes little pleasures. Zach is often found singing or humming a little tune, and we often tease that he is bound to be a super hero because he has his own theme song:). He loves being a cowboy and playing with his special little toys (he has quite a Star Wars and Indiana Jones collection!). He loves to play football with his dad and "buckin' bull's" on the trampoline. A wonderful big brother, Lindsey absolutely adores him, as does most every one who knows him!
Lindsey
Lindsey is 4 and a GIRL! She has been such a joy to our family. She is such a girl, loving dolls and pink and purple, dressing up and pedicures, and drama! She is absolutely adored by her big brothers and never fails to make them laugh. She keeps pace with them quite well and is a pretty rough and tumble little princess. Of course she has mom and dad wrapped around her little finger too!
